Job Summary
We are seeking to bring on a Senior Video Editor to join and elevate the video production efforts that grow Courtyard.io globally. You’ll partner with a multidisciplinary team of designers, live-ops managers, and growth experts to concept, edit, optimize, and scale video creatives across a variety of UA, brand, and social channels. You’ll leverage everything from traditional, non-linear editing software to AI tools to produce and enhance video creatives for strategic marketing. From UGC (user-generated content) to UA ads and app previews, you’ll bring to life video content that drives performance and growth.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in all facets of video production, including motion graphics and audio design. They pair sharp creative instincts with a meticulous mindset and understand how to budget their time to consistently deliver high-performing creatives on schedule. They have the ability to turn insights into concepts and concepts into deliverables that scale without compromising taste. This role reports to the Head of Creative Services and will edit and deliver video assets for all of marketing, so this editor must be able to shift between multiple workstreams.
What You’ll Do
- Write and edit video creatives from concept to delivery for paid user acquisition, Apple and Google Play storefronts, brand marketing, web, and social media to drive conversion, retention, and engagement
- Create highly-polished motion graphics that support marketing and product initiatives
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand project vision and translate it into compelling video content that represents the product at a high standard
- Collaborate with performance marketing to ideate, test and iterate upon creative ideas to level up Courtyard’s growth engine, leaning on data to influence the next generation of assets we create
- Partner with the Influencer and Social teams to edit and refine UGC material as needed
- Identify and integrate innovative video concepts and techniques to elevate Courtyard’s marketing efforts
- Stay up-to-date with design trends, emerging technologies, competitor output, and best practices in video production
What You’ll Bring
- 6+ years of experience as an advanced video editor, ideally within mobile gaming, PC gaming, or a direct-to-consumer field
- Advanced experience with motion design software (After Effects)
- Strong understanding of both brand and performance marketing, and how video impacts conversion rates and retention
- Proven experience collaborating with product and marketing teams to align video creatives with established brand identity and strategic marketing campaigns
- Experience editing and iterating on ASO (app store optimization) assets
- Experience working with content creators/influencers on UGC videos
- Experience partnering with external vendors to deliver video content at scale
